Challenge - Moving Along with the Times

Hi to all my crafty peeps,
Time for another fun challenge at Moving Along with the Times. It's hard to believe that this will be our last challenge of 2019.
The theme is anything BUT a card, plus there are prized to be had!

Below is my project...
As some of you may know, my other crafting interest is making & trading Artist Trading Cards, otherwise known as ATCs.
It is a fun way to use up all those bits and baubles that you often have left over from your other, bigger projects.

This ATC was made from scrap paper of Graphic 45, along with some Christmas ribbon and gold paper trim I had left over from making Christmas cards about 2 years ago. The image is popped up using foam tape, and the sayings are from Tim Holtz.

Thank you for dropping by the check out my project.

Don't forget to swing by and enter the challenge and check out the amazing projects from all the DT members.
Happy crafting!

Chocolate Baroque - Final Project

Good morning my crafty peeps, This is my final project as Chocolate Baroque’s latest Guest Designer. November has gone by so quickly and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.
Even though this card looks complicated, using these wonderful stamps, and a few dies I have in my stash, the card came together rather quickly.

Supplies: Stamps – A Tomte Christmas
Ink – Versafine Vintage Sepia
Paper – A4 Luxury Smooth White Paper
Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue
Alcohol ink markers
Die cuts
Scissors
First cut out a mat for the front of the card, measuring 4” x 5 ¼” (10.16cm x 13.36cm). Next I cut the trees out from the ivory card stock using a tree die that I had on hand. I lightly inked them up with Versafine Vintage sepia. Attach these with the PVA glue to the card mat. Next I die cut the doe and the bird, using dies I had on hand. I drew a slope onto the ivory cardstock, and glued that onto the card base. Then I attached the doe and the bird.
Next, ink up the gnome with the sled with Versafine and stamp onto ivory cardstock. Next color in the image. I used alcohol ink markers, but you can certainly use any coloring medium you have on hand.
Once done coloring, cut out the image, and attach to the card mat.
I then stamped a saying from the stamp set onto the same paper that I cut the doe out with & attached it to the mat. Finally I cut a piece of cardstock for my card base, measuring 5 ½” x 8 ½” (13.97cm x 21.59cm). I folded it in half, then attached my card front.
Thanks for dropping by and happy crafting!

Chocolate Baroque Project #2

Good morning my crafty peeps, It's hard to believe that we are already into the third week of November. I've created my second project with Chocolate Baroque.
I am simply in love with these stamp. The gnomes remind me of a white vintage Christmas, which is unfortunately hard to come by here in Florida, USA, lol.

Supplies: Stamps – A Tomte Christmas
Ink – Versafine Vintage Sepia
Paper – A4 Luxury Smooth White Paper
Cosmic Shimmer PVA Glue
Alcohol ink markers
Embossing Powder-Seth Apter Vintage Beeswax
Glitter
Ultra Clear Double Sided Red Line Tape
Heat GUn
Scissors

First cut out a circle from the ivory cardstock mearing 3 ¼”(8.3cm) in diameter. Next I inked up the gnome trio with Vintage Sepia, stamping them onto the circle. Next color in the image. I used alcohol ink markers, but you can certainly use any coloring medium you have on hand. I then lightly inked the edge of the circle with Vintage Sepia.

For the front of the card, I cut out a base mat measuring 4” x 5 ¼” (10.16cm x 13.36cm). I then cut a piece of print paper, measuring 2 5/8” x 5 ¼” (6.5cm x 13.3cm). I matted this piece with the ivory cardstock measuring (7cm x 13.3cm). I then put a strip of the Red Line tape in the middle of the print strip, and sprinkled glitter onto it. Next you will attached this piece to your mat, adding the image onto the center.

I then sprinkled the Seth Apter embossing powder in different areas, adding a little bit of glitter for sparkle. You are going to heat the powder from underneath, since I didn’t use anything to stick the power to the card, if it gets heated from above, it would simply blow away.

I then stamped a saying onto the ivory cardstock, cutting it into a banner and attached to the card.
Finally I cut a piece of cardstock for my card base, measuring 5 ½” x 8 ½” (13.97cm x 21.59cm). I folded it in half, then attached my card front.

Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!!

Chocolate Baroque - Guest Design Team Member - Project #1

Good morning my crafty peeps, I've been fortunate enough to be asked to be a Guest Design Team member for the month of November at Chocolate Baroque. Below is my first project....

I used the stamp set A Tomte Christmas. First, I inked up the large gnome image with Versafine and stamped it onto ivory paper, this will act as your base.
What you will be doing for the gnome is paper piecing.
Next pick a few different patterns of print paper, stamping the gnome one time onto each piece. You will need to stamp him once onto the white paper for his beard. I picked enough pattern paper to cut out the following pieces; one for his hat, one for the trim of his hat & coat, white for his beard, one for his shoes (or could do these in white and color them in) and one for his sweater.
Next, I cut out the various pieces and layered them onto the ivory base that was first stamped and glued the pieces down using the PVA glue.
Now you will cut out the entire gnome to add to your card front.

For the front of the card, I cut out a base mat measuring 4” x 5 ¼” (10.16cm x 13.36cm). This is the gold piece.
Then I used matching scraps of the gnome and added 3 curved strips at the top, middle and bottom. I then stamped a saying from the set, and matted it with more brown scraps, finally adding little snowflake embellishments. Finally I cut the ivory cardstock for my card base, measuring 5 ½” x 8 ½” (13.97cm x 21.59cm). I folded it in half, then attached my card front. I hope I’ve inspired you to try using your scrap stash with these amazing stamps!

Be sure and drop by the Chocolate Baroque DT Blog for even more interesting and innovative ideas on how to use Chocolate Baroque's amazing stamp sets.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to check out my card.
Happy crafting!

Moving Along with The Times Challenge

Hi to all my crafty peeps,
Time for another fun challenge at Moving Along with the Times. Splish, Splash, so anything to do with water, pools, beaches etc.
Below is my project...
This little lady certainly looks like she's enjoying the waves

The sand is done using Texture Gel Paste, usually found in your local craft store's art department, then having a bit of beige, acrylic paint added to it.

The shells are simply die cut from teal, mirror paper to add a bit of pizazz the to the card.

Moving Along with the Time Challenge

Hi to all my crafty peeps,
Time for another fun challenge at Moving Along with the Times. This time the inspiration is CAS otherwise known as Clean and Simple.
Below is my project...
Now I know this looks crazy, but it only has one layer of watercolor paper.
Using Ken Oliver Color Bursts, I placed a stencil down on the paper first. Sprinkled the Color Burst powders, spritzed the paper with water, let it set for a second and lifted it off. It literally only took me about 3 minutes to create!
The baubles are clear, picking up the color of the paper underneath. These would make quick and easy thank you cards!!

Thank you for dropping by the check out my project.
