Hi to all my crafty peeps,
Time for another fun challenge at
Moving Along with the Times. This time the inspiration is For the Man.
Below is my project...
This is an Artist Trading Card. The size is really the only thing that must be met, 2.5" x 3.5". Other than that, when creating these works of art, the sky's the limit!
I tend to lean towards more of a mixed media theme, honestly it lets me use all sorts of stuff in my stash.
This was created by simply downloading an image of Sherlock Holmes, adding one of his iconic sayings, and adding other bits of ephemera.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to check out my project.
Don't forget to swing by and enter the challenge and check out the amazing projects from all the DT members.
Happy crafting!

Chocolate Baroque - Project #3
Good morning my crafty peeps,
Here is my next project with Chocolate Baroque. I am diving even further into the uses of Brusho Crystal Colors.
With this card, I used the Brusho Crystals to color in the image. First I inked up with stamp set Floral Perfumery with Versamark ink, stamped it onto the watercolor paper measuring 4? x 5 1/4:, sprinkled white embossing powder, tapped off excess, then heat set.
I sprinkled green near the leaves, crimson around the flowers and violet in the center.
Next I spritzed the paper with water and watched the magic happen. This technique gives a watercolor look without all the fuss. Where you've embossed, this will act as a resist and really make the stamped image stand out.
I stamped the saying from the same set using black ink, added a few sequins and assembled the card. The vibrancy of the crystals really make the image pop out.
You can also use the Crystals to make a watercolor paint to color in an image. Simply sprinkle a few crystals and mix with water. Use a paint brush to color in your stamped image. Be sure and drop by the Chocolate Baroque DT Blog for even more interesting and innovative ideas on how to use Chocolate Baroque's amazing stamp sets.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to check out my card.

Chocolate Baroque - Guest Design Team Member Project #2
Good morning my crafty peeps,
Here is my next project with Chocolate Baroque. I am diving even further into the uses of Brusho Crystal Colors.
This time I wanted to incorporate more stamping, so using the stamp set, Exquisite Edges I inked up with stamp with Versamark ink, stamped it onto the watercolor paper measuring 4? x 5 1/4:, sprinkled white embossing powder, tapped off excess, then heat set.
Now, if you saw my post last week, you know that when you first get your Brusho Crystal. You'll want to use a tack and pierce a hole in the top.
You are going to want to do this, because a little really does go a long way. I did this to all the colors. Next I sprinkled Yellow and Brilliant Red onto the watercolor paper, and using a spritzer watched the colors come to life.
Now if you want a more blended look, simply spritz with more water. I did use my heat gun to dry it, but you could just as easily let it dry on its own. Where you've embossed, this will act as a resist and really make the stamped image stand out.
Next I stamped the saying using Loving Sentiments and die cut it out. I popped up the saying using foam tape, a few well placed sequins and presto....>br>
Now, as if that wasn't enough, I went ahead and created some more samples using embossing folders...
For this technique, simply sprinkle the crystals into your embossing folder, spritz the folder generously, add the watercolor paper, run through your die cut machine and enjoy the result!
Then I went ahead and used Crafter's Workshop stencil, Specimens. First I laid down the stencil. For this technique, I taped the stencil to the paper. Next I sprinkled the crystals onto the paper, spritzed and lifted off the stencil...

World Wide Open Design Team Challenge
Hi my crafty peeps,
I hope everyone is having a great week so far. It's time for another challenge over at World Wide Open Challenge Design Team blog. Why not hop on over and enjoy the fun?
Here is my latest bit of inspiration...
This little lady reminded me of French elegance in the 1800's. The background paper that I used had a lot going on, so the only stamping I did was the words "dream & believe". All the rest was already pre-printed onto the paper.
I popped her up with some foam tape for added interest.
Click on the picture below to go directly to the stamp I used. Finally, why not join Julia's Facebook Group for more fun and great coloring ideas... This is a wonderful group of talented ladies, so be sure and drop by! Happy Crafting!!

Chocolate Baroque - Guest Design Team Project #1
Morning my crafty peeps,
I was lucky enough to be asked to do another few projects this month, for the wonderful stamp company, Chocolate Baroque. Their quality of stamps, choice of theme and of course great customer service are all top notch. You will definitely want to go and check them out. Below is my first project....
To achieve this wonderful background, it is surprisingly easy. I wanted to try a new product and technique, so I delved into the world of Brusho Crystal Colors. Colours are amazingly versatile watercolor ink crystals and can be used in a variety of ways. Also, a little goes a long way.
When I first got my colors, based on the information that I read, I used a tack and pierced a hole in the top.
You are going to want to do this, because a little really does go a long way. I did this to all the colors. Next I cut a piece of watercolor paper 4" x 5 1/2" and sprinkled on the crystals. Below is a picture of how much I used to create the background, and this is two colors, Crimson and Violet.
The next step is the fun part, using a spritzer I simply wet the paper and watched the magic happen. I wasn't sure what to expect, and I was thrilled with the vibrancy of the colors!
Now if you want a more blended look, simply spritz with more water. I did use my heat gun to dry it, but you could just as easily let it dry on its own. To get a different look, spritz the paper first, then add the crystals!!>br> Finally I cut a piece of black cardstock into 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", folded it in half and attached the card front.
Then, using the stamp set Floral Perfumey, I stamped a saying onto white cardstock using black ink. I cut the saying into a banner and attached it to the front of the card. Then I added a few metallic photo corner stickers and voila...
