Moving Along with the Times Challenge

Hi to all my crafty peeps, Hard to believe that Moving Along with the Times has another challenge happening. Where does the time go? This time the inspiration is Anything But a Card.
Below is my project...

For those of you who know me, I love doing Artist Trading Cards. Once I was introduced to this miniature world of artworks, I was hooked. Plus I found a fabulous way to use up all those bits & baubles that I have left over from my larger paper crafting projects!
This latest ATC is still Christmas themed, but I covered a piece of a puzzle and stamped Santa's face on it.

Then I used left over paper and ephemera from my Christmas cards, to help make this tiny bit of Christmas cheer!!

World Wide Open Design Team Challenge

Here is my latest bit of inspiration...

Since we now have a rabbit as one of our fur babies, this stamp seemed appropriate.

I colored her in with Copic markers. I wanted to due more modern Christmas colors, so I had paper that had blue and pinks, and colored her accordingly. The small snowflakes are stickers and I used matching cardstock and a border punch to create the lace looking paper.

Below is my project...

I've been doing more scrapbooking lately and came across these pics of our fur baby, Tabitha. She is our senior citizen now, so I wanted to do a page of her in her younger days.

The brown swirls are rub-ons and I placed the jewels with the help of a circle template. The paper is so old, it came from my stash.

Considering how much I enjoy the Steampunk style, this stamp was right up my alley.
I colored her in with Copic markers. The gears are wood, and I colored them black my with Copics also.
The purple paper came that way, and it was a piece of scrap I had in my stash.

Moving Along with The Times Challenge

Hi to all my crafty peeps, Moving Along with the Times has another challenge happening, this time the inspiration is Halloween.
Below is my card...

The purple paper is actually fabric. It seems to have been starched for a more firm texture and it cut beautifully.

The bat is a punch that I covered with Glossy Accents by Ranger. It gave the punch more character, deepened the black cardstock and added a cool shine..

Another touch is the silver metallic strip. This is actually Washi tape. Now I'm not much of a washi tape fan, like many, but I do like the silver and gold metallic tapes. It works beautifully on Christmas cards!!.

Chocolate Baroque - DT Project #3

Good morning my crafty peeps, This is my last DT project this month for Chocolate Baroque. It has been fun & amazing and everyone has been incredibly welcoming.

For my last project I decided to do a mixed media canvas.
I used the two sets Loving Sentiments and Nature Fragments. I have to admit, the Nature Fragments was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I also am glad that I got it because it forced me to creative something amazing!
I first started with a 5x7 canvas board. I used a stencil, by The Crafter's Workshop. and spread molding paste over it. I lifted off the stencil, washed it immediately and let it dry.

Once dry, I inked everything up with Tim Holtz Distress Inks, then I stamped the Nature's Fragments over the inking for more texture.

Then, because the Distress Inks stay wet for a bit, I was able to add sparkly embossing powder over the piece and heat set it with a heat gun.
Then for the finishing touches, I stamped the sayings, again, using the TH Distress Inks, cut them out and inked the edges. I also added a few pearls for pizzazz and voila, my finished piece.

Chocolate Baroque - DT Project #2

Morning my crafty peeps,
For this week's project, I wanted to try something a little larger, so I created a card. Below is my second project....

With this card I used the Scrumptious Succulent set.
There were a few images from this set that I wanted to use, and I couldn't decided on which one to use for my card, so I chose 3 images to use. I made a collage.
I stamped the first image onto the paper and then using Liquid Frisket I created a mask. Ensure you let this layer dry completely.
Next I chose another image, and stamped over top of the first. Applied a bit of friket to an area of the second stamp, let dry, then stamped my third. Once done, I had my collage.
I usually use Copic markers to color in my images, but this time I used Tim Holtz's Distress Paints. Simply add a bit of water to water them down, then use them to color in the images. I also used Distress Stain, in the same manner.

The set contains the saying, which I stamped onto with paper with Archival black ink.

The dots were added by dipping the handle of my paint brush into Distress Paint and dropping the dots onto the project!!

I love mermaids, and Julia's image is no exception.
Since Fall is upon us in North America, not so much in Florida though, I thought I'd color her in using a fall color palette.

The background was created using dies, which are the orange color, and Washi paper that I had in my stash. Here is a site that sells all kinds of different patterns & colors of Japanese Washi Paper.

Guest Design Team Member - Chocolate Baroque

Morning my crafty peeps,
Well I can finally let the cat out of the bag. I was chosen to be a guest design team member for an amazing stamp company, Chocolate Baroque. They are a wonderful company, based in the United Kingdom, with stamp quality and customer service parallel to none. Below is my first project....

This is an Artist Trading Card, ATC. I used the stamp set Fresh Blooms. I next used Versamark ink & white embossing powder, then heat set the embossing powder.
Next I used Distress Inks, Vintage Photo, Red Barn & Wild Honey, and using a foam blender, I blended the ink over the embossed image. Because the image was embossed in white, when I added the color, the image popped off the page.
Next I stamped the saying that comes with the set in black ink, added a few glitsy embellies and voila, an Artist Trading Card.
Now ATCs can be traded, or you can use them in other crafty projects....
I did the exact same steps as above but with different colors and also used another stamp set Loving Sentiments.

I added the ATC onto the card front, added glitz and glam....

and voila, a fun & easy card!

Moving Along with the Times

Hi to all my crafty peeps, Moving Along with the Times has another challenge happening, this time the inspiration is Fall or Autumn.
I'm super excited about this one because I"M HOSTING!!

Not only will I be picking the top 3, but I've got a small prize to be given to one of the participants at random.

Below is my card...

The images are from Red Lead, a company I recently discovered, and already have spent way too much there, lol. The images are colored in with Copic markers.

I used a die cut and placed it on top, after coloring the background in with Distress Inks. Next I fussy cut the images out and pop dotted them up for added dimension.

The background is glitter print paper for added sparkle.

The embellies are real shells, which seemed fitting for the under the sea theme.

The background was made from a Memory Box die. I wanted to have a curtain look to the background, so I did mirror images of the corner die.
