Organization

I'm often asked how I store my stamps. I thought I'd do a quick post about how my stamps are stored and what organization system works best for me. First off, I try to buy only cling stamps or unmounted stamps. If they come on wood blocks, I unmount them. Basically I don't really have a trick, I just pull them off the wood and rubber mounts, so that I'm only left with the red rubber. I then create a laminate sheet, using cardstock and packing tape. This is the side that I stick the stamps to, I then stamp then on a separate sheet, as an index and attach the index onto the front of the laminate side. I stamp the index separately because if I make a mistake, it's easier to simply replace the index rather than trying to pull apart the laminate sheet. I didn't come up with this idea, How to Make Unmounted Stamp Storage Packets. This was the starting point for me. For the red rubber unmounted stamps, I put Aleene's Tack it Over & OVer, so that the rubber will stick to my stamp blocks. Now keep in mind, this is not an overnight process.
